We held a PCM (Project Cycle Management) Workshop as the 25th EDL Seminar on January 11th and 12th, 2013. We invited Mr. Masahiro Oseko from PCM Tokyo as a lecturer and Ms. Ayako Ishiwatari from Because Institute Co., Ltd. as a facilitator. Main theme of this year was 'Safety and Security of Drinking Water'.
EDL program holds PCM workshop as an intensive course spending two full days annually and this was the third time. Students learn the methods of problem analysis, objectives analysis, project selection and project design through group discussion. Students were from various countries such as Vietnam, China, Nepal, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Indonesia, Jordan, Chile, Eritrea. Students who completed two days program received a certificate from PCM Tokyo.

PCM is a participatory project management tool widely used in
international cooperation projects. You will learn the methods of
problem analysis, objectives analysis, project selection and project
design. Students in the University of Tsukuba can participate in the
