Dr. Koichiro Matsuura, who was the former director-general of UNESCO had a lecture entitled "Humanity and Civilizations" on September 30, 2011.
He talked about 8 environmental issues and raised our awareness of them in the lecture. Students from various countries had a chance to ask questions to Dr. Matsuura from the perspective of their own countries. The discussion provided an invaluable opportunity for students and we believe that this experience will affect their study and the future in connecting everyday issues to global issues.
